The Sitemap
The sitemap is a top-down look at the what pages and content your website will have. It’s usually shown like a content tree seen here. The pages listed at the top of the tree will often be what’s found in the main menu at the top of the page.
Overall, you should be able to see how every page on your website fits into the flow of content for your user.
The Wireframes
The wireframe portion is where we take the sitemap and make it visual by creating the structure of the website. This is often done using basic shapes and placeholder text to show where pieces of content will be placed in the future. After revisions, the wireframe will inform you what content you need to organize and produce as well as guide our team during the renders phase.
Typography Exploration
When we select the typography used for your website, we consider how it will match your companies branding, how legible it is, how the fonts contrast each other, and how much it costs. Sometimes one font with different weights (thicknesses) will cover all the bases for your text content, but typically 2 or sometimes 3 fonts are chosen to contrast each other and establish hierarchy in your content.
The Renders
The render is where you start to see the “look and feel” of your site come to life. Here we add colors, the chosen typefaces, and imagery. Once the renders are approved, the website begins being developed.
